I got this engine with my maximum st. It isn't that bad of an engine. It was my first nitro so I knew hardly anything about tuning and engine. It was new to me. I did however have some pretty big problems. I had the piston and sleeve go up very quickly (could have been my fault) but duratrax replaced it for free! I also got a new muffler because it got messed up too. I later bought a associated tuned pipe for the engine and it really came alive. Its a great beginners engine, but for anything more just get a associated .15 sport or similar. This engine is nothing to be thrilled about, its just a beginners engine that comes with the duratrax's. I wouldn't get it if it didn't come with your nitro car.

Also the muffler I got with it was real bad, didn't like it at all. I replaced it with an associated Air Filter. The pull start is also a pain in the butt. I love my Starter box!
